Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how NoTilt ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our iOS application (the "App").
Information We Collect
When you use NoTilt, we collect the following types of information:
Steam Account Information
- Steam ID (Steam64 identifier)
- Player profile information (username, avatar) obtained from public Steam API
- If you use Sign in with Steam, we verify your identity through Valve’s OpenID service — your Steam password is entered only on Steam’s website and is never stored by NoTilt
- Custom profile URLs (vanity names) may be resolved via Steam Web API on our server when you enter a username instead of Steam64
Match Data
- Match history and statistics from your Dota 2 matches
- Match details including heroes, outcomes, performance metrics
- Match timestamps and duration
User-Generated Content
- Emotional ratings you assign to matches
- Any notes or reflections you choose to record
Account and Device Information
- Sign in with Apple account identifier (opaque user ID from Apple; we do not receive your Apple ID email unless you choose to share it with us separately)
- Push notification tokens (for match notifications)
- Device type and operating system version
- App usage analytics (anonymous, aggregated)
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- App Functionality: To provide match tracking, statistics, and reflection features
- Notifications: To send you push notifications about new matches
- Analytics: To improve app performance and user experience (anonymous, aggregated data only)
- Support: To respond to your support requests and provide technical assistance
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely on our servers. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Match data and statistics are obtained from public APIs (OpenDota) and cached on our servers to improve app performance.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not share your data with advertisers or marketing companies.
We may share anonymized, aggregated data (that cannot identify you) for statistical analysis and service improvement purposes.
Third-Party Services
Our App integrates with the following third-party services:
- OpenDota API: For accessing public Dota 2 match data
- Steam / Valve: OpenID sign-in (identity only; password stays on Steam) and Steam Web API for public profile and vanity URL resolution
- Apple Push Notification Service (APNs): For delivering push notifications
These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.
Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access: You can view all your data within the App
- Deletion: Delete your account in the App (Settings → Account → Delete Account) or contact us at the email below
- Data Export: You can request a copy of your data
- Opt-Out: You can disable push notifications in your device settings

Account and Data Deletion
You can delete your NoTilt account and associated data at any time. This section explains how deletion works, what is removed, and what may remain.
Delete your account (Sign in with Apple)
The primary way to permanently delete your NoTilt account and server-side data is in the iOS app:
- Open NoTilt and sign in with Apple if you are not already signed in
- Go to Settings (gear tab) → Account
- Tap Delete Account and confirm in the dialog
- You will be signed out; local app data on your device is cleared
When you confirm deletion in the app, we process the request immediately: your account record, session tokens, linked Steam profiles, emotions, notification preferences, device registrations, trial/subscription records tied to your account, and related server data are deleted without undue delay. If you sign in again with the same Apple ID, a new empty account is created — previous data cannot be restored.
What we delete
- Your app user account (Sign in with Apple linkage on our servers)
- Server session and refresh tokens
- Linked Steam profiles and per-profile settings stored on our servers
- Emotional ratings and reflections you saved in NoTilt
- Push notification device registrations and queued notifications for your account
- Trial and subscription status records associated with your account on our servers
- App activity timestamps we store for notification logic
What we do not delete or what may remain
- Public Dota 2 and Steam data (match history, profiles) — this remains available from Valve, Steam, and OpenDota; we do not control third-party sources
- Data already removed from your device when you delete the account; uninstalling the app alone does not delete server-side account data
- Anonymized or aggregated statistics that cannot reasonably identify you
- Information we must keep where required by law (e.g. tax, fraud prevention, or legal process)
- Backup copies, if any, are purged on our regular backup rotation schedule (typically within 30 days)
Remove a single Steam profile only
If you only want to remove one linked Steam profile (not your entire NoTilt account), use profile management in the app to delete that profile’s data. This removes emotions and the profile link for that Steam account on our servers but keeps your Sign in with Apple account and other linked profiles.
Uninstalling the app
Removing NoTilt from your device deletes local data on that device but does not delete your account on our servers. To delete server-side data, use Delete Account in Settings or contact us.
If you cannot use the app, email support@notiltapp.com from the address associated with your account (or describe your Apple ID / Steam profile) and request account deletion. We will verify the request and complete deletion within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
